Agricultural Product Imports to Ukraine Reached a Record $9.12 Billion in 2025
In 2025, the volume of agricultural product imports to Ukraine increased by 13% and reached a record $9.12 billion, the highest figure since gaining independence.

Main Suppliers and Their Contributions
The key suppliers of agricultural products to Ukraine remained the countries of the European Union. In 2025, they increased their export volume by 15%, and their share in the total import volume accounted for 53.9% ($4.914 billion). At the same time, Asian countries provided 17.9% of imports ($1.635 billion), Latin America contributed 7.6% ($693 million), and African countries accounted for 5.4% ($489 million).
Poland has maintained its status as the main supplier of agricultural products to Ukraine since 2017. In 2025, it increased its export volume to $1.151 billion, which is 24% more compared to the previous year. Following Poland in the rankings were Germany ($692 million), Turkey ($654 million), Italy ($575 million), the Netherlands ($417 million), Norway ($338 million), France ($317 million), Spain ($314 million), China ($264 million), and the USA ($235 million). Together, these countries accounted for 54% of the total agricultural product imports.
Import Structure: Main Products
In 2025, Ukraine imported the following categories of agricultural products the most:
- fruits, berries, and nuts — $1.0 billion;
- fish and seafood — $999 million;
- alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages — $870 million;
- cocoa products — $640 million;
- various food products — $575 million;
- tobacco products — $493 million;
- animal feed and waste — $476 million;
- coffee, tea, and spices — $471 million;
- vegetables — $467 million;
- seeds and fruits of oilseeds — $418 million.
The total value of these products accounted for 70% of the total agricultural product imports.
