Legal Entities Actively Purchasing Agricultural Land in Ukraine in 2025
Since the beginning of 2025 and until mid-December, there has been a significant revival in the agricultural land market in Ukraine. During this period, 115.6 thousand plots of land with a total area of over 340 thousand hectares were sold. While at the start of the land market the main focus was on the volume of the land bank, in 2025 the priorities shifted towards the quality of the plots and their geographical location.

Activity of Legal and Natural Persons in the Land Market
In 2025, legal entities significantly strengthened their presence in the market: they purchased 43.01 thousand plots of land with a total area of 128.21 thousand hectares. Price Trends in the Regions of Ukraine
The highest land prices are recorded in the western and central regions of the country. In frontline regions, prices are significantly lower. In particular, in Ivano-Frankivsk region, the price per hectare can reach 165,615 UAH, in Ternopil region – up to 126,068 UAH/ha, and in Lviv and Vinnytsia – over 80-100 thousand UAH/ha. In southern regions, such as Kherson, Mykolaiv, and Zaporizhzhia, land is sold for 35-38 thousand UAH/ha.
“Despite the military risks, in 2025 the agricultural land market maintained liquidity, demonstrated steady growth in value, and established a demand structure. In 2026, the key factors for its development will remain the security situation, regional specifics, and the investment attractiveness of the plots,” noted Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture of Ukraine Denys Bashlyk.
For comparison: in 2024, 106.67 thousand plots of land were sold in Ukraine with a total area of 320.66 thousand hectares. The average price per hectare then rose to 46,678 UAH, significantly exceeding the figure for 2023, when land cost 38,500 UAH/ha.
