Main Importers of Ukrainian Sugar in the 2025/26 Marketing Year

At the beginning of the 2025/26 marketing year, Ukraine actively continued to export sugar to foreign markets, focusing primarily on supplies to the Middle East and Europe.

Export Volumes and Main Buyers

According to the information from the sugar producers’ association “Ukrtsukor”, during the first three months of the current marketing year, Ukrainian producers exported 116.1 thousand tons of sugar. The majority of the product — 95% — was sent to the global market.

The largest buyers of Ukrainian sugar from September to November 2025 were:

• Lebanon — 37% of total exports;
• Syria — 18%;
• North Macedonia — 8%;
• Bosnia and Herzegovina — 7%;
• United Arab Emirates — 7%.

Sugar Production in Ukraine

As of the first decade of November 2025, Ukrainian sugar factories produced 880 thousand tons of sugar. This figure is 100 thousand tons lower than in the same period last year.
