Norway and Austria Increase Funding for the Food from Ukraine Initiative
Norway and Austria have announced new contributions to the international initiative Food from Ukraine. According to official statements, Norway will allocate 2.5 million euros to support the project, while Austria will contribute an additional 2 million euros.

Supporting Global Food Security
The intention to provide funding was announced by Norway’s Minister of International Development, Osmund Aukrust, and Austria’s Federal Chancellor, Christian Stocker, during the IV International Conference on Food Security Food from Ukraine. Aukrust emphasized that the fight against hunger is a priority for his country, and Norway is directing resources to support people in regions that are most in need of assistance: Gaza, Sudan, and Syria, providing them with food from Ukraine.
Since the launch of the Grain from Ukraine program, Norway has already provided aid totaling up to 17 million euros.
Austrian Contribution and Ukraine’s Role in Global Food Stability
Christian Stocker, Austria’s Federal Chancellor, stated that his country has already provided 9.6 million euros in support of the initiative.
“This project is not only a symbol of solidarity; it plays a key role in helping over 673 million people suffering from hunger worldwide. Food security must remain a global priority,” summarized Christian Stocker, highlighting Ukraine’s important role as a key agricultural state in global food stability and solidarity.
