Price Increases in Key Export Positions
According to the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food, Vitaliy Koval, the price increase was made possible by the rise in exports of value-added products, particularly bioethanol.
“We are actively working on diversifying sales markets and expanding the export potential of the processing industry,” Koval noted.
In addition to the overall price increase, average prices for key export positions per ton have also risen:
- sunflower oil – $1174, which is 37.8% higher compared to 2024 ($852);
- corn – $217, which is 27.1% higher ($171);
- wheat – $231, which is 27.4% higher ($181);
- poultry meat – $2385, which is 11.2% higher ($2145);
- soybeans – $409, which is 4.3% higher ($392).
Current Export Results and Development Prospects
Since the beginning of 2025, Ukrainian agricultural exports amounted to $1.1 billion or 2.5 million tons. This indicates a positive trend in the development of the country’s agricultural sector.
The Minister added that the Ministry of Agrarian Policy continues efforts to expand the geography of sales and develop the processing industry, which are key factors for enhancing the competitiveness of Ukrainian agricultural products.
Earlier, the State Customs Service reported that from January to March 2025, Ukraine imported goods worth $18.5 billion and exported goods worth $9.9 billion.
