The Sowing of Spring Crops for 2025 Has Begun in Prykarpattia

The sowing campaign for spring crops aimed at harvesting in 2025 has started in the Ivano-Frankivsk region. Farmers from the Kolomyia district were the first to join the effort. This was reported by the head of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration, Svitlana Onyshchuk.

At this moment, 1,220 hectares of grain and leguminous crops have already been sown, including:

  • wheat — 350 ha;
  • barley — 700 ha;
  • oats — 150 ha;
  • peas — 20 ha.

Overall, the region plans to sow 377 thousand hectares, which temporarily exceeds last year’s figures. In particular, the structure of the sowing includes:

  • winter grains — 59.7 thousand ha;
  • winter rapeseed — 21.8 thousand ha;
  • spring grains and legumes — 79.5 thousand ha;
  • technical crops — 107.3 thousand ha;
  • vegetable crops and potatoes — 72.9 thousand ha.
