TOP-5 Countries Importing Ukrainian Agricultural Products in May 2025

In May 2025, the average price of Ukrainian agricultural products on global markets reached $432.7 per ton, which is 37% higher than in May of last year, when the figure was $315 per ton. This trend is attributed to the increase in the share of high value-added products in the export structure.

“Ukrainian products are competitive and in demand in global markets. We are working to establish Ukraine’s status as a supplier of high-quality processed products,” noted Koval.
Main Agro-export Goods and Their Value
Among the exported products, butter had the highest value, selling for $7077 per ton. In May of this year, Ukraine exported 2.9 thousand tons of butter worth $20.5 million.
Fruit and vegetable juices ranked second in value at $2213 per ton. In total, nearly 9 thousand tons of juices were exported during the month, amounting to $19.8 million.
In total, Ukrainian agro-exports in May amounted to 4.69 million tons of products, bringing the country $2.03 billion. In comparison, in April, 4.1 million tons were exported for $1.82 billion.
Main Buyers of Ukrainian Agricultural Products in May
Turkey topped the list of importers of Ukrainian agricultural products, purchasing goods worth $404.9 million. Following are the Netherlands at $147.4 million, Poland at $138.3 million, Italy at $127.7 million, and Egypt at $109.8 million.

- Cereal Crops: 2.4 million tons (corn constitutes 65%, wheat 32%, barley 2%)
- Oilseeds: 421.2 thousand tons (soybeans 78%, rapeseed 20%)
- Vegetable Oils: 525.8 thousand tons (sunflower oil 91%)
- Meal: 423.0 thousand tons
- Other Agricultural Products: 357.0 thousand tons
As of the end of 2024, the total volume of Ukraine’s agro-exports reached $24.5 billion — the second-best historical result after the record $27.7 billion in 2021. A total of 78.3 million tons of agricultural products were exported, and the share of agricultural exports in the country’s total exports was 59%.
