Ukraine Ranked Third Among the Largest Agricultural Product Exporters to the EU in 2024
In 2024, Ukraine confidently established itself among the leaders in agricultural product exports to the European Union. According to Eurostat, the country ranked third with an agricultural product export volume to the EU of €13.1 billion, accounting for 6.7% of the total agricultural product imports to the EU.

Leading Agricultural Product Exporters to the European Union
Brazil took first place among agricultural product exporters to the EU in 2024, exporting a total of €17.1 billion (8.8% of total imports). The United Kingdom ranked second with a share of 8.5% (€16.6 billion). Following Ukraine on the list of exporters are the USA, whose exports amounted to 6.1% (€12 billion).
Dynamics of EU Agricultural Trade
In 2024, the European Union exported agricultural products worth €234.1 billion, while import volumes were €194.9 billion. Compared to 2023, export and import figures increased by 2.8% and 6.7%, respectively. Over the ten-year period from 2014 to 2024, the total volume of agricultural trade in the EU increased by 59%, with exports rising by 58% and imports by 60.2%.
The main market for agricultural product exports from EU countries in 2024 was the United Kingdom, which accounted for 23% of the total export volume (€54 billion). It was followed by the USA, Switzerland, and China.
