Ukraine Among the Leaders in Organic Supply to Europe
By the end of the year, Ukraine entered the top three largest exporters of organic products to EU countries among 123 countries worldwide. This data was published in a report by the European Commission and confirmed by the Ukrainian organic production certification body, Organic Standard.
“The European Commission released a report, and we have reason to be proud: Ukraine ranked 3rd among 123 countries in terms of organic product supplies to the EU in 2024,” the statement said. — “In 2024, 203.9 thousand tons of organic products were exported from Ukraine to EU countries — this is 17.4% more than in 2023.”
Restoration of Positions in the EU Market
It is known that Ukrainian farmers and producers are gradually restoring their positions after a challenging period. Organic grains, oils, berries, fruits, and other products grown in Ukraine are in particularly high demand in the European market.
In a comment from the certification body, it is emphasized that these results are not a coincidence, but have become possible thanks to the daily efforts of hundreds of producers, exporters, and experts who support the development of the organic sector in Ukraine and believe in its prospects in the global market.
