Factors Contributing to the Growth of Agricultural Exports

The significant increase in export volumes in October was made possible by several key factors. First and foremost, weather conditions affected the timing of the harvest, resulting in the main crops—soybeans, sunflowers, and corn—being harvested later, allowing for substantial harvest volumes to accumulate by October.

Additionally, the positive impact of establishing the procedure for canceling the 10% export duty for soybean and rapeseed producers, which operates under the so-called “soy amendments,” also played a role. Favorable market conditions for sunflower oil, combined with an increase in the supply of sunflower seeds, further contributed to the growth of exports.

Structure and Dynamics of Exports

The main growth was provided by oilseeds and their processed products. The detailed structure of agricultural exports in October was as follows:

• Cereal Crops: 2.7 million tons (wheat — 56%, corn — 35%, barley — 8%). Compared to the previous month, the volumes increased by 9%.
• Oilseeds: 447.1 thousand tons (soybeans — 53%, rapeseed — 45%, flax — 2%), which is 39% more than in September.
• Vegetable Oils: 510.8 thousand tons (sunflower — 72%, rapeseed — 18%, soybean — 9%). The growth was 63%.
• Meal After Oil Extraction: 467.2 thousand tons (sunflower — 73%, soybean — 27%), with an increase of 66%.
• Other Types of Agricultural Products: 386.1 thousand tons, an increase of 14%.

Thus, in October 2025, agricultural exports from Ukraine demonstrate positive dynamics due to increased harvest volumes, improved conditions for exporters, and high demand for oilseeds and their processed products.
