Main Factors for the Growth of Elevator Capacity
Despite the losses in infrastructure due to military actions and challenging economic circumstances in the agricultural sector, the annual increase in elevator capacity was about 500 thousand tons. This was achieved through the commissioning of new facilities, the expansion of existing elevators, and the implementation of several investment projects. The majority of the new capacities are concentrated in the central and western regions of Ukraine.
Regional Distribution of Elevator Capacity Leaders
The leaders among the regions in terms of elevator capacity are:
- Poltava Region — 5,575 thousand tons;
- Odesa Region — 5,445 thousand tons;
- Vinnytsia Region — 4,447 thousand tons.
Thus, the increase in elevator capacity over the year amounted to about 0.5 million tons, despite the losses in infrastructure due to military actions and the difficult economic situation in the sector.
The dynamics of the development of elevator infrastructure indicate the adaptation and resilience of the Ukrainian agricultural sector even in challenging conditions.
