Professional Training and Support for Veterans
The event discussed issues of professional realization for Ukraine’s defenders in agriculture, as well as presented free online educational courses, state and local support programs, and success stories of military personnel who have already established their own agribusinesses.
Leaders of structural divisions of the Ternopil Regional State Administration, experts, representatives of the Ukrainian Veteran Fund, the regional employment center, and agricultural enterprises in the region shared information about employment opportunities for veterans and their families, possibilities for professional training, and starting their own businesses in the agri-sector.
Special emphasis was placed on state and local support programs that provide funding for veterans to develop their own businesses.
Educational Courses and Success Stories
Veterans were introduced to five specialized online courses: “Agrotechnologies for Growing Niche Crops,” “Agribusiness for Veterans,” “Management in the Agri-Sector,” “Basics of Financial Literacy in the Agri-Sector,” and “Information Technologies, Digitalization, AI in the Agri-Sector.” Registration for these courses can be done at the following link: https://veteran.agrianalytica.com/.
“Participation in these training programs allows veterans to acquire new knowledge and practical skills for a successful start in the agri-sector,” the organizers noted.
During the job fair, veterans from Ternopil shared their own stories of founding agribusinesses. Among them were Vitaliy Shepel, owner of Tobi, a company producing freeze-dried products; Mykola Salamaha, founder of the “My Berry” farm specializing in blackberry cultivation; and Andriy Salamaha, founder of “DronAgro,” which provides plant protection services using agricultural drones.
The job fair was part of the project “Building Models for the Reintegration of Veterans into the Agri-Sector,” implemented by AgriAnalytica with the support of the USAID Program for Agricultural and Rural Development AGRO.
