In an interview with “The Ukrainian Farmer,” the director of the company “TORNUM Ukraine,” Oleksandr Yatsyk, stated that financial capability is a key factor; however, even with limited resources, farmers primarily aim to create their own drying complexes with simple storage systems, and only later do they move on to constructing full-fledged elevators.
“Such examples already exist: the company ‘TORNUM’ participated in several projects where agrarians initially installed a dryer with a temporary storage hopper and at least one silo, and within a few years, they built additional ones,” noted Oleksandr Yatsyk.
Oleksandr Yatsyk also emphasized that manufacturers of elevator equipment need to be aware of the companies’ plans for the next 7–10 years so they can immediately design elevators with the potential for capacity expansion. It is important to consider the possibility of increasing transport equipment and adding silos.
The further development of the grain and oilseed market in Ukraine and the Black Sea region will be discussed at the 23rd International Conference, which will take place on April 24 in Kyiv. All interested parties are invited to participate in strategic discussions and networking with industry leaders!
