Where the scale verification will take place

According to the information, the verifications will occur at the crossing points “Chop” (Ukrainian-Hungarian border), “Uzhhorod” (Ukrainian-Slovak border), and “Diakove” (Ukrainian-Romanian border). This is an important step to ensure the accuracy of measurements of cargo scales used in international trade and transportation.

Recommendations for carriers

“Customs advises truck carriers to consider potential temporary delays in traffic during the metrological verification at these checkpoints”

In this regard, drivers and logistics companies are recommended to take possible delays into account and plan routes considering this work to avoid unforeseen disruptions in transportation.

Additionally, in April, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced the opening of a new crossing point on the border with Hungary – “Velyka Palad’ – Nodyhodosh”. This is a joint project aimed at improving transport logistics and reducing queues at the country’s borders.
