“The chicken egg market is traditionally characterized by seasonal fluctuations in demand. The current price dynamics reflect the interaction of market factors, including production costs (feed, energy, logistics), as well as seasonal demand. The Ministry of Agrarian Policy is keeping a close eye on the price situation and is working to ensure a balance of interests between producers and consumers,” emphasized Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Vitaliy Koval.
According to the data, the price dynamics are as follows:
- March 28 — 60.85 UAH;
- April 4 — 60.44 UAH (-0.7%);
- April 11 — 57.68 UAH (-4.6%).
The minister also noted that there is no shortage of chicken eggs in the domestic market, and the supply fully meets current demand. Vitaliy Koval emphasized that objective data indicates that egg production in March amounted to 962 million pieces, which is 22.7% higher than the figures for January (784 million pieces) and 22.2% more than in February (787 million pieces) of this year.
It is also worth noting that 15 companies are authorized to export eggs and egg products to EU countries.
