In Ukraine, over the past two weeks, prices for chicken eggs have decreased by 5.2%. In particular, the price of a dozen ungraded eggs of category C1 has dropped from 60.85 UAH to 57.68 UAH. This information was released by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food.

Egg prices have fallen for the first time after a prolonged period of increase in February and March. Minister of Agrarian Policy Vitaliy Koval noted that there is no shortage of chicken eggs in the domestic market, and supply fully meets current consumer demand.

Seasonal Fluctuations and Market Factors

Koval explained that the egg market experiences seasonal fluctuations in demand. The current price dynamics are the result of the interaction of several market factors, including production costs (such as feed, energy resources, and logistics) and seasonal demand.

“In particular, objective data shows that egg production in March 2025 amounted to 962 million pieces, demonstrating significant growth compared to January (784 million pieces) and February (787 million pieces) of the current year,” Koval noted.
