Ukraine has received another tranche of €3.5 billion from the European Commission under the Ukraine Facility, as announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal on April 1.

“These funds will help us continue to support macroeconomic stability,” he noted.

He also emphasized that the total amount of financial assistance under the Ukraine Facility has reached €19.6 billion.

“Thank you for your ongoing support and solidarity with Ukraine in these difficult times. Together we will endure and rebuild everything,” Shmyhal wrote.

Recall that on March 17, the Council of the European Union approved the payment of the third installment to Ukraine under the Ukraine Facility program amounting to nearly €3.5 billion.

In spring 2024, the EU Council adopted a plan for the Ukraine Facility, outlining the intentions of the Ukrainian government regarding the country’s recovery, reconstruction, and modernization, as well as the reforms planned to be implemented as part of the EU accession process over the next four years. This step allowed for the initiation of regular payments under the Fund for Ukraine amounting to €50 billion.
