The ‘Dzhmelik’ farm owns 42 hectares of apple orchards and is equipped with a refrigerator and a fruit processing workshop with a capacity of up to one ton per day. In addition, there is a quail farm and its own feed production. The new equipment, including pressing and bottling machines, as well as an acetator, will significantly expand their production capabilities.
“Thanks to this equipment, we plan to start producing apple cider vinegar, jams, and pastes,” the farm representatives stated.
On the territory of ‘Dzhmelik’, dozens of apple varieties are grown, some of which are processed into juice. The products are sold through local stores and also receive orders from lyceums and schools across Ukraine, including online sales through their own website.
In addition to purchasing new equipment, the grant has allowed for the creation of additional jobs. Currently, ‘Dzhmelik’ officially employs 16 people, three of whom were hired thanks to financial support from IOM.
