Farmers in Southern Ukraine to Receive a Subsidy of 10,000 Hryvnias per Hectare of Cotton

The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine is launching a state support program for cotton producers in the southern regions of the country. The program provides for a subsidy of 10,000 hryvnias per hectare for the current year’s harvest.

State support of 10,000 UAH per hectare for this year’s harvest can be received by farmers growing cotton in Odesa, Mykolaiv, and Kherson regions.
Conditions for Receiving State Support
Legal entities and individual entrepreneurs engaged in cotton cultivation in Odesa, Mykolaiv, and Kherson regions can apply for the subsidy. A mandatory condition is registration in the State Agrarian Register (SAR) and the absence of debts to the budget.
Additional requirements for applicants include:
- No bankruptcy or liquidation procedures
- No criminal convictions or prosecutions
- Not listed in sanctions lists
- Not listed in the register of individuals who have committed corruption offenses
- Prohibition of business activities in temporarily occupied territories, in the Russian Federation, and in the Republic of Belarus
Application Submission Procedure
Applications for the subsidy can be submitted through the official website of the State Agrarian Register. The application period will start on June 10, 2025, at 9:00 AM and will last until July 10, 2025, inclusive. Detailed instructions for submitting applications are available on the official website of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
This initiative by the ministry aims to restore cotton cultivation as a strategically important agricultural crop in southern Ukraine.
