Germany plans to significantly increase funding for military aid to Ukraine. In 2025, Chancellor Olaf Scholz’s government will provide an additional €3 billion, as reported by the foreign agency Reuters.

This is reported by AgroReview

Finance Minister Jörg Kukies confirmed in a letter to the Bundestag’s budget committee that all necessary conditions for allocating these funds have been met. He noted that the German Ministry of Finance has agreed to additional expenditures of €2.547 billion, which, taking into account compensations from the European Peace Facility, will rise to €3 billion.

Continuation of Financial Support

Financial support for Ukraine will not stop there. Between 2026 and 2029, an additional €8.252 billion is allocated for military aid to the country. Thus, the total funding will exceed €11 billion.

Expected Approval of the Initiative

The Bundestag’s budget committee is expected to approve this initiative on March 21. The final decision will depend on the Bundesrat’s approval of the reform concerning billion-dollar investments.
