The Parliament of Hungary has passed a law that completely bans the production and sale of so-called artificial meat—products made from animal cells in laboratory conditions. This decision was supported by 140 deputies, with 10 opposing and 18 abstaining. Thus, Hungary has become the second country in Europe after Italy to impose such a ban.
