In March 2025, the inflation rate in the European Union remained relatively stable, with some countries showing high figures and others where inflation was minimal. According to Eurostat, the highest annual inflation rate was recorded in Romania at 5.1%, indicating significant prices for goods and services in that country.

Countries with High and Low Inflation in the EU

In addition to Romania, high inflation rates were also observed in Hungary (4.8%) and Poland (4.4%). In contrast, the countries with the lowest inflation rates among EU members were France at 0.9%, Denmark at 1.4%, and Luxembourg at 1.5%. This indicates a stable pricing situation in these states.

Overall Situation in the Eurozone and Inflation Dynamics

Within the eurozone, the annual inflation rate in March 2025 was 2.2%, which is a slight decrease compared to February’s 2.3% and last year’s 2.4%. Since the beginning of spring, there has been a trend toward price stabilization at levels that do not raise significant concerns about rapid inflationary growth.

Earlier in March, Eurostat reported that the lowest inflation rates were recorded in France, Ireland, and Finland, while Hungary, Romania, and Estonia had the highest price dynamics. This reflects the differences in economic conditions and pricing policies in the region.

The National Bank of Ukraine at this time recorded an increase in prices for food, services, and fuel; however, a gradual slowdown in inflation rates is expected. In February 2025, consumer inflation reached 13.4% year-on-year, and according to the regulator’s forecasts, this trend is expected to continue in March.
