Participation Conditions and Selection Process
Rural households and individual entrepreneurs who cultivate between 0.05 and 10 hectares of agricultural land can join the program. The selection of aid recipients will take into account their socio-economic vulnerability and potential for development. It is important to note that registration in the State Agrarian Register (GAR) is a mandatory condition for submitting an application.
Applications will be accepted through the GAR from April 10 to April 22, 2026.
Financial Support and Training Opportunities
Selected participants will receive vouchers worth 3,000 US dollars (in the equivalent in hryvnias) to purchase necessary resources and equipment. In particular, these funds can be used to buy greenhouses, irrigation systems, seeds, water containers, and other production materials. Additionally, participation in training programs on climate-optimized production, efficient irrigation, soil management, and business planning is provided.
The total budget for aid under this program is 150,000 US dollars (over 6.5 million UAH).
“The development of small producers is about supporting individual farms and the resilience of local economies. They form the foundation of food security in communities, create jobs, and supply local markets with products. Together with international partners, we are expanding access to resources, knowledge, and technologies that will help them grow and operate more efficiently,” noted Denis Bashlyk, Deputy Minister of Economy, Ecology, and Agriculture of Ukraine.
According to the organizers, the program is being implemented as part of a joint project between FAO and the Norwegian government with a budget of 4 million US dollars. This project aims to support rural communities in frontline regions of Ukraine and facilitate their rapid recovery.
