Pensioners to Receive Financial Assistance from the UN in Ukraine

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has made a decision to support pensioners living in areas of active or potential combat, implementing a joint project with the World Food Programme of the United Nations. This was announced by the permanent representative of the Cabinet of Ministers in the Verkhovna Rada, Taras Melnychuk.

According to the new mechanism introduced by the deputies, additional financial assistance will be provided to pensioners, including internally displaced persons who have not received financial payments since March 1, 2023. The assistance is intended for individuals with pensions below 3,000 hryvnias per month.

“This applies to those who have not received additional financial payments from international organizations since March 1, 2023,” noted Taras Melnychuk.

Payments will be made from the funds of the World Food Programme of the UN in accordance with agreements established between the Ministry of Social Policy and international organizations. To participate in the program, it is necessary to fill out a form on the information platform “Assistance” and/or receive housing assistance in accordance with the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine’s resolution dated March 20, 2022, No. 332.
