“We aim to make Poland and Europe independent from Russian gas. Through cooperation with the American side, we intend to ensure gas supplies for Ukraine,” Tusk emphasized. This is an important step towards strengthening the region’s energy security and reducing dependence on Russian suppliers.

Development of Nuclear Energy and Strategic Investments

Poland is also intensifying cooperation with the U.S. in the field of nuclear energy. According to Tusk, the new political course has gained a “new impetus,” and a “better agreement” has been signed regarding the construction of the first nuclear power plant in Poland using modern technologies. This will allow the country to significantly enhance its nuclear energy capabilities and diversify its energy sources.

U.S. Energy Secretary Chris Wright emphasized that Washington is committed to a long-term partnership with Warsaw, particularly in building new nuclear power plants. “We aim to create an investment partnership that will anticipate the country’s needs for many years to come,” he noted. The U.S. plans to build even more nuclear power plants not only in Poland but also in other European countries, contributing to the region’s energy stability.
