Poland Launches Preferential Lending Program to Support Ukraine’s Reconstruction

Poland has announced the launch of a state program for preferential lending aimed at supporting Polish businesses in the process of Ukraine’s recovery. Under the terms of the program, PLN 250 million (approximately €58.25 million) has been allocated for this purpose. The maximum loan amount that a single enterprise can receive is PLN 10 million (around €2.33 million) at an interest rate of 2% per annum with a repayment term of up to 12 years.

These loans can be used to finance investments, working capital, export and import development, as well as to implement joint projects between Polish and Ukrainian enterprises. Additionally, the funds are directed towards logistics services, storage of goods and construction materials, development of transport infrastructure, including roads, railways, energy, water supply, as well as public and residential construction.
Efforts to Support Business and the Activity of Foreign Companies in Ukraine
According to the Swedish government, around 60 Swedish companies are currently operating in Ukraine. Sweden is making efforts to simplify the entry of new businesses into the Ukrainian market, facilitating the attraction of foreign investments.
Moreover, over 100 enterprises with Belgian capital are operating in the country, which transferred more than 720 million hryvnias in taxes to the Ukrainian budget last year.
