State Lands for Rent Included in the Demining Compensation Program
The State Land Bank has joined the state program for compensating expenses related to humanitarian demining of agricultural lands, which will allow for the safe preparation of approximately 7,000 hectares of state lands in the Kharkiv, Kherson, and Chernihiv regions. After demining, these plots are planned to be offered at open online auctions for agricultural producers.

Compensation Mechanism and Changes in the Program
According to the updated resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers, the procedure for using budget funds allocated for compensating demining expenses has been changed. Previously, this state support was primarily available to agricultural enterprises, farms, and agricultural producers; now it also extends to state land plots that will be leased.
“Agrarians will gain access to prepared plots, and the state will achieve effective use of its resources,” noted the head of the State Property Fund, Dmytro Natalukha.
Economic Impact for the State
Including state lands in the demining program will significantly save budget funds. In 2026, the average cost of demining one hectare is estimated at 67,200 hryvnias. It is estimated that due to this innovation, the state operator, the State Land Bank, will be able to save about 470 million hryvnias that would have been spent on clearing 7,000 hectares of potentially contaminated areas. The saved funds in 2027 will replenish the state budget and may be directed, in particular, to support the Defense Forces.
After demining is completed, the prepared plots will be offered at transparent online auctions, ensuring openness and competitiveness in access to the lease of state lands for agrarians.
