State Support for Agricultural Insurance and Priorities of Agricultural Policy in 2026

In 2026, the Ukrainian government plans to allocate 60 million hryvnias from the state budget for the development of agricultural product insurance. This approach aims to strengthen the stability of the agricultural sector and contribute to the country’s economic recovery.

Priority Areas of State Support for the Agricultural Sector

According to the Ministry of Economy, the main areas of financial support remain the frontline regions, modernization of irrigation systems, and assistance to agricultural producers operating in challenging conditions. Special attention is given to improving insurance products, supporting livestock farming, developing aquaculture, and conducting humanitarian demining of agricultural lands.

“In 2026, we are focusing state support on those areas that ensure the resilience of the agricultural sector and economic recovery. Priorities include frontline territories, irrigation development, and support for producers working in the most difficult conditions. We are strengthening insurance tools, directing funds to livestock farming, aquaculture, and humanitarian demining of lands,” the agency stated.

Resilience of the Agricultural Sector and Implementation of European Standards
