In the draft state budget of Ukraine for 2026, UAH 14.1 billion is allocated to support the agro-industrial complex, which is UAH 4.5 billion more than the funding amount in 2025.

Key funding areas for farmers in 2026

  • Preferential lending and subsidies: funding is planned for small and medium-sized agricultural producers, as well as payments and support in livestock farming, particularly for the maintenance of cows, goats, and sheep.
  • Grants: funds will be directed towards the development of horticulture, berry farming, viticulture, and the establishment of modern greenhouse facilities.
  • Humanitarian demining: UAH 2 billion is budgeted for clearing agricultural land of explosive objects.
  • Melioration: UAH 0.2 billion is allocated for the restoration and development of irrigation systems.

Comparison with last year’s indicators and strategic priorities

In comparison, the agricultural budget in 2025 was approximately UAH 5–6 billion. In 2026, the significantly increased funding will allow for a focus on the sustainability of farms and the restoration of the production potential of the agricultural sector.
