Strengthening Air Defense and New Types of Weapons

According to the head of the government, these funds will be directed towards the procurement of Rapid Ranger missile systems and lightweight multipurpose Marlet missiles. Such purchases are expected to significantly enhance the capabilities of Ukraine’s air defense and strengthen its ability to deter the enemy.

“With this funding, we plan to acquire the Rapid Ranger missile systems as well as lightweight multipurpose Marlet missiles. This will significantly strengthen our air defense and our ability to stop the enemy,” said the head of the government.

Record Assistance from the United Kingdom in Drone Supply

Denys Shmyhal also reported that the United Kingdom announced record assistance for the supply of drones in June. This involves an additional allocation of £350 million, which will allow Ukraine to receive up to 100,000 drones by the end of 2025.

The head of the Ukrainian government emphasized the importance of support from British partners, stating that it contributes to bringing about a just peace for Ukraine.

Furthermore, at the end of May, the British publication The Telegraph reported that officials from the UK and France are focusing on ensuring the long-term defense of Ukraine, particularly in light of a possible lack of support from the United States.
