There Are No Threats to the 2025 Planting Campaign in Ukraine, Says Koval

The Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, Vitaliy Koval, assured that Ukrainian agricultural producers have all the necessary resources for the successful conduct of the spring planting campaign in 2025.

“The production means required for planting are consistently provided by the market. There is both diesel fuel and mineral fertilizers. Of course, we import a significant portion, as Ukraine cannot fully supply itself with production means during the war. However, we also see that the number of suppliers and producers increases and diversifies every year. Therefore, we do not see any threats to the planting campaign,” he said.
Koval also noted that this year Ukrainian farmers plan to increase the area under corn, which has high profitability. In addition, wheat sowing will also increase. According to him, farmers will plant technical crops on an area of 7.73 million hectares this year, as the profitability of soybeans, rapeseed, and sunflowers remains high.
