Ukraine Uses Robotic Machine for Demining for the First Time

Ukraine has successfully completed its first project involving the implementation of a rented robotic machine for humanitarian demining.

This was reported by Severin Lubkivskyi, the Business Development Director of DOK-ING in Ukraine. According to the information, SafeLane Global rented the MV-4 machine as part of the Prozorro tender (MX25018H) to conduct a technical survey of a land plot in the village of Bezimenne (Mykolaiv region). Over three days, from April 4 to 6, 2025, the MV-4 cleared 20,837 square meters of territory, detonated one PMN-2 anti-personnel mine, and discovered several dangerous items, including two POM-2 mines, three 220 mm caliber rocket shells, one 120 mm caliber OF-49 mortar shell, and one 57 mm caliber S5 air-to-surface missile.

Collaboration and Efficiency

The project was implemented by DOK-ING in collaboration with A3tech-Ukraine and SafeLane Global. A3tech-Ukraine provided comprehensive support for the project implementation—from organizing the rental to logistics, preparing the machine for operation, and its technical maintenance as needed. SafeLane Global highly appreciated the productivity and efficiency of the MV-4 machine, manufactured by DOK-ING.

“The project is proof that proven technologies and experienced partners can deliver real results in one of the most urgent areas of Ukraine’s recovery,” said SafeLane Global.

Development Prospects

Severin Lubkivskyi emphasized that this project clearly demonstrated the effectiveness of DOK-ING’s operational model, which combines advanced technologies, strong local support, and collaboration with leading humanitarian organizations. He expressed hope that the successful implementation of this project would serve as a good precedent for further scaling of rented mechanized solutions for demining in Ukraine.
