Ukrainian Government to Compensate Businesses for Participation in International Exhibitions

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine plans to implement a new support mechanism for enterprises — compensation for expenses related to participation in international exhibitions. This initiative aims to promote export development and the advancement of Ukrainian products in global markets.

Key Conditions for Compensation

During a roundtable discussion, Taras Vysotsky, Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture, shared the main aspects of the upcoming program. According to him, the procedure for implementing the compensations is expected to be approved by spring. However, the program’s budget will be limited, so it will operate under specific rules.

“From each industry, we will be able to support a maximum of one exhibition per year. Therefore, it is very important for relevant associations to identify the most critically important events in advance and submit appropriate proposals,” emphasized Vysotsky.

Importance for the Berry Sector

According to market participants, this support is particularly relevant for producers of berry processing products. They point out that currently, government support for marketing in this sector is almost nonexistent, and participation in international exhibitions is a crucial step for expanding sales markets and integrating into global supply chains.
