Main Areas of Security Cooperation

Zelensky highlighted that cooperation should encompass the protection of energy infrastructure, backup power, and logistics systems. He proposed developing joint action plans for emergencies and conducting readiness checks of energy systems for potential attacks or emergencies.

“We need to protect energy infrastructure, especially in areas near the Russian borders, and create backup routes for energy networks and communication systems,” Zelensky noted. This will allow countries to respond quickly and assist each other in crisis situations.

Development of Transport and Logistics Cooperation

The President stressed the importance of improving logistical connections in the region. He stated that the Black Sea should play a crucial role in ensuring security and stability, helping countries in case of problems arising in the region. “This is not just about trade operations – it is a matter of security and the lives of people,” he added.

Zelensky also emphasized that achieving these initiatives requires lasting peace, which can only be attained through the unification of efforts and strengthening cooperation among the participating countries. He urged partners to work on enhancing the security situation to ensure stability in the region.
