According to a statement from the press service of the Verkhovna Rada, the new law introduces clear licensing rules for carriers in accordance with European Union regulations. This will enhance the professional level of managers responsible for road transport, strengthen road safety, and improve customer service standards.
Additionally, the law provides for the creation of a unified information system for real-time monitoring of road transport safety. This will allow for quicker responses to violations and reduce the number of road traffic accidents. “As a result, a decrease in the number of accidents is expected, along with improved working conditions for carriers and the harmonization of Ukrainian legislation with EU norms, which will facilitate integration into the European transport market,” reports the press service of the Verkhovna Rada.
Expected Outcomes from the Implementation of the Law
Thanks to this law, Ukraine will take an important step towards integration with the European transport space, enhance road safety, and improve conditions for road carriers. This will foster greater trust in Ukrainian road transport from European partners and simplify the border crossing process for international freight and passenger transport.
