In the Chernihiv region, the BEDNAR KATOR KN5000 rotary cultivator began operation for the first time in Ukraine in April. This is a significant achievement for the soil cultivation equipment sector, as the new unit opens up additional opportunities for agricultural enterprises to effectively prepare the soil, especially in heavy, hard, or drought-affected areas, where it is crucial to ensure quality pre-sowing treatment in a single pass.

Technical Advantages and Functional Capabilities of the BEDNAR KATOR KN

The BEDNAR KATOR KN is a mounted rotary cultivator with active sections designed for precise seedbed formation. It demonstrates high efficiency in complex soil types, where traditional tools do not always deliver the desired results. The working depth of the unit can reach 25 cm, and the model range includes machines with working widths from 3 to 8 meters.

The main goal of using the KATOR KN is to create a uniform soil structure before sowing. Thanks to the rotary working elements, the cultivator intensively crushes clods, levels the field surface, and forms a stable seedbed, which is crucial for uniform sowing and friendly emergence.

One of the key design features is the large number of rotors per meter of width — the distance between them is only 22.5 cm. This ensures high-quality soil crushing and uniform preparation of the entire working area.

Innovations and Practical Solutions for Farmers

For operation in intensive modes, the KATOR KN is equipped with a robust transmission and a reliable gearbox. The central shaft and power transmission system are optimized for efficient force transfer from the gearbox to the working elements. Notably, the solution of “one rotor — three bearings” deserves attention: each rotor is supported by three bearings, which enhances its stability and protects the components from wear and damage.

“It is worth noting the solution of ‘one rotor — three bearings’: each rotor has three bearings, which increases its stability and protects the gears, shafts, and seals from damage.”

An important advantage of the unit is the QUICK-CHANGE blade replacement system, available for the KN and KN_PROFI models. It allows blades to be changed without the use of special tools, significantly reducing maintenance time and making the work of operators more efficient during the busy season.

The KATOR KN can be equipped with a stone protection system that prevents foreign objects from entering the working area and minimizes the risk of damage. To form a quality profile after processing, a rear leveling bar is provided next to the rotors, which helps avoid wave formation and ensures a level field after the unit passes.

The introduction of the first BEDNAR KATOR KN5000 in Ukraine is an important event for farms seeking to improve the efficiency of pre-sowing soil preparation in challenging conditions. The machine combines intensive crushing, leveling, compaction, and the creation of a quality seedbed in one technological pass, significantly increasing the productivity of farmers.
