France invests €480,000 in satellite monitoring of Ukraine’s agricultural sector
The French company EarthDaily has received funding of €480,000 from the French Ministry of Economy to develop a modern agricultural analytics system tailored to the needs of Ukraine. The main goal of this project is to implement satellite technologies and artificial intelligence to enhance the accuracy of yield forecasting and monitor the state of agricultural crops across the country.

Modern technologies for agricultural analytics
The platform being developed will provide access to current data almost in real-time. This will enable government agencies to promptly monitor the state of agricultural production and respond to changes affecting the country’s food security. Thanks to the system, users will be able to track the development of crops such as winter wheat, barley, rapeseed, sunflower, and corn.
“The data will be available almost in real-time and will help government agencies strengthen their control over the state of agricultural production,” the developers stated.
The information obtained will serve as the basis for compiling regular reports on the structure of crops and production trends in the domestic agricultural sector. Technological solutions from GEOSYS and resources from the EarthDaily Constellation satellite group, which is currently in the launch phase, are being utilized for this initiative.
Support for food security and transparency
EarthDaily is convinced that the implementation of this innovative platform will contribute to increased transparency in supply chains and strengthen food security in Ukraine. The initiative was approved at the end of 2025 and is coordinated by the French Ministry of Economy and Finance in collaboration with the state investment bank Bpifrance. Currently, the first satellites are already operational in orbit, and a full launch of the analytical system is expected soon.
