Focus on Innovative Pepper Varieties
Breedx pays special attention to the sweet mini pepper Pepperito, which stands out among competitors due to its complete lack of seeds and vibrant color. The Pepperito series includes various types – from “one-bite” to mini-capsicum, featuring red, yellow, and orange peppers. In Europe, these vegetables are sold under the company’s own brand, while in North American markets, they are distributed through private distributors.
“We believe that in 5–10 years, all sweet peppers on the market will be seedless,” said the company’s CEO Lior Carmeli. The product is already receiving positive feedback in North America.
Tomato Breeding and Scientific Partnership
Breedx is also actively involved in breeding cherry and mini tomatoes, enhancing their taste qualities. All breeding work is conducted using traditional methods, without the use of GMOs, in collaboration with the Israeli Volcani Institute and other scientific centers.
Through this approach, the company aims to meet the demands of modern consumers by providing not only an attractive appearance of vegetables but also excellent taste and convenience in consumption.
