Renewable Energy and Innovations in the Agricultural Sector: Grants and Business Support Programs

State and private companies in Ukraine have the opportunity to attract funding for the implementation of projects in the field of renewable energy. The main focus is on projects in solar and wind energy, which receive support not only in the form of funding but also technical and consulting assistance. The minimum amount of capital investment for such projects is 25 million dollars for the private sector and 10 million dollars for the public sector.

TeamUp Program for Supporting Agri-food Innovations

Additionally, in the direction of developing innovations in the agricultural sector, the TeamUp program is being implemented, which connects leading technology experts with entrepreneurs and business professionals. It aims to create impactful startups in the agri-food sector and includes a six-month support cycle. Participants in the program have the opportunity to learn, receive consultations from industry experts, and attract up to 40 thousand dollars in funding at the final stage.

Registration for participation in the program is open until April 30.

Funding for Small Businesses through the “Own Business” Program

Another important direction is the state program “Own Business”, which has already supported 455 winners in the sixth wave. They will receive over 106 million hryvnias for the development of their enterprises, which will allow for the creation of approximately 728 new jobs.

The majority of entrepreneurs are working or planning to start activities in the fields of trade and vehicle repair — 34%, manufacturing — 15%, and the hotel and restaurant business — 14%.
