Average Pension Size in Ukraine in October 2025: Payment Statistics

As of October 1, 2025, there are 10.2 million pensioners in Ukraine. According to official data, the average pension amount is 6436.79 UAH, although this figure varies significantly depending on the category of recipients.

Pensions of Working and Non-Working Pensioners

The average pension for working pensioners is higher, amounting to 7069.37 UAH. The number of such citizens currently stands at 2.8 million. Meanwhile, over a third of all pensioners (35.3%) are forced to make do with payments of less than 4,000 UAH per month.

Dynamics of Changes in Pension Amounts

Almost a third of pensioners (31.6%) receive payments ranging from 3,000 to 4,000 UAH. In comparison, in 2024, this group was nearly half as large — 17.4%. A significant decrease has been recorded among those receiving less than 3,000 UAH: from 25.8% in 2024 to 3.7% in 2025. This explains the increase in the number of pensioners receiving between 3,000 and 4,000 UAH.

A significant portion of Ukrainian pensioners (29.1%) receive between 5,000 and 10,000 UAH per month, which is only slightly more than the previous year (25.6% in 2024). At the same time, 20.6% of Ukrainians receive a pension of between 4,000 and 5,000 UAH, whereas in 2024, this figure was 18.6%.

“The highest pensions — over 10,000 UAH — are received by 15.1% of citizens in Ukraine. In 2024, this number was slightly lower — 12.7%.”

Thus, the structure of pension payments in Ukraine continues to change, demonstrating a gradual increase in both the average pension size and the proportion of citizens receiving higher payments.
