Average Pension in Ukraine Increased to 6345 Hryvnias After Indexation

Pensions in Ukraine have increased by 11.5% for over 10 million citizens following a recent indexation. This was reported by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal on March 25.

According to him, the average pension amount is now 6345 hryvnias. All payments for March have already been made, and the government will continue to fulfill its social obligations.

Automatic Recalculation for Pensioners

Shmyhal also noted that from April 1, an automatic recalculation will be conducted for nearly 630,000 working pensioners, taking into account the updated insurance record.

Cabinet of Ministers Decision

Earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers made a decision to carry out pension indexation from March 1 for over 10 million Ukrainians. The amount of indexation was calculated based on official economic development indicators for 2024: consumer price growth is expected to be at 12%, while the average salary growth for 2022-2024 is projected to be at 11%.
