Bioenergy and the Agricultural Sector: Investment Potential
The ambassador emphasized that significant potential for expanding cooperation lies in joint projects for biofuel production. According to him, Brazil remains one of the leading global producers of clean energy from renewable sources. In the biofuel sector, the country has numerous companies that actively invest in various states. Like Brazil, Ukraine possesses the necessary bioresources to scale bioenergy projects.
“The war has certainly negatively impacted trade. However, bilateral trade remains – mainly in the agricultural sector and machine engineering. We see great prospects for further development of economic ties, particularly in biofuel production projects. Brazil is one of the largest producers of clean energy from alternative sources. Many companies in our biofuel sector invest worldwide. Bioenergy plants are inexpensive and can be built quickly, generating clean energy, and Ukraine, like Brazil, has all the necessary bioresources.”
Reviving Pharmaceutical Cooperation and Joint Initiatives
Rafael de Mello Vidal reported that Brazil and Ukraine plan to enhance cooperation in the pharmaceutical sector by combining the resources of market leaders from both countries to produce affordable medical products. The diplomat also highlighted the potential of the agricultural sector, recalling Ukraine’s establishment of the Global Alliance against Hunger and Poverty, initiated by Brazil during its G20 presidency.
Additionally, the ambassador outlined promising prospects for developing partnerships in the field of civil construction.
