Cheese Imports in Ukraine Increased by 19.6% in January-February 2025

During January-February 2025, Ukraine imported 6,100 tons of cheese, which is 19.6% more compared to the same period in 2024. This information is confirmed by data from the State Customs Service.

A total of 36 million dollars was spent on cheese imports, which is 18.8% higher than the expenditures in the first two months of the previous year. The main suppliers of cheese to Ukraine were Poland (50.2% of imports), the Netherlands (8.4%), and Italy (8%).

Export of Ukrainian Cheeses

The export of Ukrainian cheeses during January-February this year reached 2,000 tons, which is 17.6% more than in the corresponding period last year. In monetary terms, the export generated 9.4 million dollars, which is 28.8% more than in January-February 2024.

Key Buyers

The largest buyers of Ukrainian cheeses in the first two months of 2025 were Kazakhstan (36% of exports), Moldova (35.1%), and Germany (6.6%).

As noted, global cheese prices increased in February.
