Damage and Consequences of the Attack

The shelling has affected civilian infrastructure as well as private homes.

“The critical infrastructure is currently operating on generators. Thank God, there is no information about casualties at this moment, but there are injured,” noted the city leader.

The mayor added that electricity supply is absent not only in Chornomorsk itself but also throughout the Chornomorsk territorial community, except for the village of Burlacha Balka.

Restoration of Electricity Supply and Situation in the Regions

According to DTEK, energy workers are trying to connect critical infrastructure facilities and residential buildings to backup lines where technical capabilities allow. The company emphasizes that the scale of the destruction is significant, so repair work may take some time.

The Ministry of Energy reports that work to restore electricity supply for consumers is ongoing. At the same time, a difficult situation persists in the Chernihiv region, where restrictions on electricity supply are in place. According to “Ukrenergo,” three rounds of disconnections are currently in effect in the region.
