New Capacities and Development Plans
Vasyl Danylyak notes that the interest in these regions is explained by favorable natural and climatic conditions and high yield indicators. In addition to the land bank, OKKO Group is completing the construction of a grain elevator with a storage capacity of 60,000 tons. The next step will be the launch of a factory, which is set to begin operations in the summer of 2025, emphasizing the dynamic development of the company’s agricultural direction.
Partnership and Investments in Bioethanol
“This year we closed an agreement for 17,000 hectares in the northern part of Ternopil region and the southern part of Rivne region. As of today, we have approximately 50,000 hectares under cultivation,” said OKKO Group CEO Vasyl Danylyak.
An important component of OKKO’s agricultural portfolio is its collaboration with the enterprise “Hazahro,” located in Ternopil region. This enterprise cultivates 26,000 hectares of land, maintains about 10,000 head of cattle, and is one of the largest horticultural farms in Ukraine. At the same time, OKKO decided not to integrate the part of the business related to horticulture into its structure.
The company pays significant attention to innovations – the launch of a bioethanol plant has already been announced for the third quarter of 2026. Investments in this project will amount to 110 million euros, demonstrating OKKO Group’s ambitions for the development of modern agricultural technologies and the implementation of ecological solutions in the energy sector.
