Global Eggs has its headquarters in Luxembourg and also manages the Granja Faria farm in Brazil. Faria, known as the “Egg King,” emphasized that this deal is not related to the current egg shortage in the U.S., which has arisen due to an outbreak of avian influenza that has led to rising prices and increased egg imports from the U.S. to Brazil.
“We are looking at the world, primarily at the Western world,” he said.
Ricardo Faria founded Global Eggs last year, and in November, the company already made its first international purchase by acquiring the Spanish company Grupo Hevo.
According to him, the combined revenue of Hillandale, Hevo, and Granja Faria in 2024 will exceed $2 billion.
