Deal Details and New Opportunities
The deal, which was announced on September 22, 2025, includes not only the elevator itself but also the associated storage facilities. Meanwhile, the fermentation and distillation plant will continue to be managed by NWT.
The NWT complex has a total storage capacity of 63,000 tons, making it one of the largest grain processing facilities in Western Canada. Modern equipment ensures a complete cycle of grain cleaning and drying, while logistical capabilities are supported by the two largest railway operators in the country, enhancing the efficiency of product transportation.
Development Plans and Community Support
Bunge intends to invest in the development of this facility to ensure its stable and efficient operation in the future. Special attention will be paid to integration into the local community, the development of partnership initiatives, and the creation of new jobs.
“We plan to make the necessary investments in this facility to ensure its smooth and efficient operation in the future, and we hope to become an active participant in the life of the region as a leading employer and participant in community investment initiatives,” said Bunge’s Canada head Kyle Jeworski.
Following the completion of the deal, Bunge is strengthening its presence in the Western Canadian grain market, opening new prospects for the development of the region’s agricultural sector.
