Cargill Opens New Corn Processing Plant in India

Cargill officially launched a new corn processing plant in India on March 10, established in collaboration with local producer Saatvik Agro Processors.

According to information provided by the company’s press service, the new facility is designed to meet the growing demand in the Indian market for confectionery products, infant formulas, and dairy products. Cargill emphasized that the total market value of the sector involved in producing starch derivatives used for thickening and stabilizing various consumer products is estimated at $15 billion, with annual growth rates ranging from 6% to 11% over the next five years.
The company noted that Cargill has entered into an agreement with Saatvik aimed at creating this specialized manufacturing facility with an initial capacity of 500 tons per day, with the potential to expand to 1,000 tons per day.
