A large-scale infrastructure project is planned in the Lviv region – the construction of an elevator with a capacity of 30,000 tons and a dry port. The project will be part of the nationwide network of grain storage facilities, logistics hubs, and deep processing plants.

On June 10, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Lviv Regional State Administration, the regional council, the Belz City Council, and AgHoldCo.

“The construction of the elevator and dry port in our region will create jobs, help reduce transportation costs for grain, and enhance food security in Lviv. Moreover, it will be easier for small and medium-sized farms to store grain,” emphasized the head of Lviv region.

Project Implementation Stages

According to the head of the Belz community, Oksana Bereza, the first stage will be the construction of the elevator, followed by the creation of a large logistics terminal. The start of construction work is planned for the end of this year.

The project will be financed by AgHoldCo, Inc with the support of the investment fund UAF Partners. The head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration, Maksym Kozytskyi, expressed confidence that this project will serve as a positive signal for other investors regarding the feasibility of investing in the Ukrainian economy.

It is worth noting that a similar facility – a multimodal terminal – is already successfully operating in the Berehove district of Transcarpathia. This “dry port” provides the opportunity to transport goods to any point in the world.
