Hanna Hromakivska Appointed Head of Bayer’s Agricultural Division in Ukraine

As of April 1, 2026, Hanna Hromakivska has been appointed the new head of Bayer’s agricultural division in Ukraine. She succeeds Laercio Bortolini, who led the division since October 2021 and will continue to work within the company’s international structure.

Career Path of Hanna Hromakivska

Hanna Hromakivska has significant experience in finance and the agricultural business. She graduated from Zaporizhzhia State University with a degree in Accounting and Auditing, and in 2006, she earned an MBA from the International Institute of Business. Hromakivska began her professional career at Bayer in 1999 as a financial controlling manager in the business controlling department. Four years later, she headed the financial department of the company’s agricultural business in Ukraine, and since 2019, she has managed the finance department for the Eastern European cluster. In 2023, Hromakivska became the head of operations for Bayer’s agricultural division in Ukraine, and now she holds the position of head of the entire division.

“Over the past few years, I have gained a deep understanding of the business, our clients’ needs, and the potential of our team. In my new role, I plan to focus on further strengthening Bayer’s agricultural business, developing key priorities, and implementing solutions that will help farmers work more efficiently. Our team’s goal remains unchanged — to support Ukrainian farmers and create conditions for the growth of their businesses and ensure food security,” said Hanna Hromakivska.

International Rotation: A New Role for Laercio Bortolini

Laercio Bortolini, who led Bayer’s agricultural division in Ukraine for nearly five years, will continue to work with the company at the international level. Starting July 1, 2026, he will become the head of digital solutions for the agricultural business in Latin America and will work in Brazil. Bortolini is an agronomy engineer, educated at the State University of Ponta Grossa in Brazil, and holds an Executive MBA from the University of Pittsburgh. He began his career at Bayer as a sales representative and later held leadership positions in soybean licensing, cotton cultivation, and seed business (corn) in Brazil.

During his leadership of Bayer’s Ukrainian division, Laercio Bortolini ensured the company’s operational stability even in challenging conditions, supported operational processes, and maintained an effective team in Ukraine.
